Canada Welcoming World's Generic Pharmaceutical Industry
Sept.28.2009.CGPA. Canada is hosting the 12th Annual International Generic Pharmaceutical Alliance (IGPA) Conference in Montréal from September 30 through October 2, 2009, the first time the event has been held in Canada.
Originally founded in 1997, the IGPA works to represent the generic pharmaceutical industry on the world stage and to ensure governments, employers and patients have access to affordable medicines. This year’s conference will be held at the new Westin Hotel in Montréal’s historic Old Port area.
“The IGPA Conference has become the premier event for the international generic pharmaceutical industry. As an international leader in generic pharmaceutical research, development and manufacturing, Canada is pleased to welcome representatives of our industry from around the Globe,” said Jim Keon, President of the Canadian Generic Pharmaceutical Association (CGPA).
The annual IGPA Conference offers an excellent opportunity to gain insight into the most recent commercial, legal and regulatory developments related to the global generic pharmaceutical industry.
