O U R Purposes Promote balanced IP rights to ensure timely access to generic and biosimilar medicines. Support balanced enforcement of IP rights to safeguard fair competition. Encourage scientific development, professional awareness and knowledge to promote quality, safety and efficacy. Promote global convergence of regulations on quality of the generic and biosimilar products, ensuring adherence to bioequivalence standards and comparability studies respectively for generic and biosimilar medicines. Provide guidance to international organizations and national governments in improving regulatory and legal expertise related to manufacture, registration and marketing of high quality medicines. Promote uniform and effective regulatory controls to prevent the production and trade in counterfeit versions of medicines and their APIs.
