Jeff Watson is the President and CEO of Apotex. He leads a workforce of more than 6,000 people, driving our strategic direction and advancing our vision of serving patients and consumers along their health journey.
Jeff held multiple senior leadership roles at Apotex, including serving as President and Chief Executive Officer from 2018 to 2023. Following his departure, he remained actively engaged with the organization as a board member and returned in March 2026 as Chief Executive Officer.
During his more than 20-year tenure at Apotex, Jeff has held responsibility for commercial and strategic operations, global activities, and international partnerships. His roles included oversight of initiatives related to the company's commercial performance and global presence. His leadership was instrumental in advancing Apotex's position as a global pharmaceutical organization.
Jeff is also a member of Apotex's Board of Directors and brings deep governance expertise to his board work and has led and served on many boards during his career.
In 2021, Jeff was appointed to the inaugural CEO Advisory Committee of the International Generics and Biosimilars Medicines Association. In recognition of his contributions to the pharmaceutical industry, he received the Distinguished Associate of the Year award from the Neighbourhood Pharmacy Association of Canada in 2023.
